Thank you London!

Wow!  What an absolutely amazing and fantastic time we had in London.  Thank you so much guys!  We had great fun rocking out and had loads of people tell us how much they enjoyed it too which really means the world to us.  Thank you!

If you couldn’t make it, there’s a lovely review and a couple of pictures from local music-blogger and all round good-guy (despite the name) the Dark Lord of Barnet which you can find here

And that, as they say in show biz, is us, for a while…we’re going to take a break now for a little while, so there won’t be any gigs for the rest of 2012 and *probably* none in 2013 (although we never say never!)…we REALLY hope that we’ll eventually be back with news of a second album.  We can’t promise anything, but the tunes leak out of our heads anyway, so we might as well record them…so stay tuned, and watch this space.

With massive love and thanks for all your support

Taz, Kate and Rick, Ultraxine 2012.

London Gig Flyer

Hellooo!

Our next gig will be on Saturday 20th October, at The World’s End Pub in Finsbury Park, London.

Please click on the flyer below, print it out and bring it with you – and you will only pay one English Pound to get in to the gig – rather than two.

We are headlining and are on at around 11pm – see you there, we totally can’t wait!

Yours in ROCK and tea,

The Xine xx

Awesome Summer!

How are you doing?  We are having an awesome Summer, even if the weather isn’t playing ball, all of the time!

We’ve demoed some more songs in preparation for our 2nd album.  We’ve put one just below this sentence so you can have a listen – and let us know what you think?
One of Those Days (demo) by Ultraxine
It’s especially written for everyone who is having One Of Those Days. Where nothing’s going your way!

The rest of the demos are sounding great, so we’re just writing a few more songs and will then record them too… It’s all good!

Speaking of which, our next gig will be on Sat 20th October, in fair London Town!  More about this soon when we have further details – safe to say we are totally completely looking forward to it – London has always been good to us!

Catching up with the Xine

Hope you have had lots of fun over the festive period, we certainly did 🙂

We’re currently booking in some gigs all over the country for 2012.  If you’d like to have us play near you, why not ask a local venue?  We will be updating our Gigs page when we have some further info for you. We can’t wait, 2012 is going to be ace!

We’re working hard on some new tunes for you as well – the first one, One Of Those Days, was debuted at our Christmas gig with Obvious Pseudonym and Poet and the Loops – and went down a storm!

Lastly, there are some lovely pictures of us around, playing live! Check out the pics of our most recent gig in Wakefield by Rofanator (John Jowett) on Flickr:

And some from the ace Joel Rowbottom from our Harrogate gig with GMT:

Danger of Death video!

Hidy Doo from the world of the Xine!

We had a brilliant time on stage on Saturday, playing with The Buddha Pests, Papersun and Betamax. There will be pictures to follow soon. We’re playing again this coming Saturday, 5th November, with the mighty GMT at the West Park Hotel, Harrogate. YAY!

Anyway, on to more awesome news worth shouting about!

We spent a few fun hours getting sunburned and nearly getting arrested, and making the below video for our song, Danger of Death! We hope you like it.

Shot by the awesome Geoff Marshall – thanks so much Geoff! 🙂

What we’ve been up to recently!

Well that was an awesome gig!  We really enjoyed playing at The Fenton – we had a couple of sound issues but apart from that a brilliant gig and great atmosphere!  What can you do but keep on playing? 🙂

Thanks so much to the other bands, Chasing Dragons and Down The Machine for a fun night, and also thanks to our brilliant fans for coming down – helped make it a top night. Thanks guys!

The lovely Joel Rowbottom came down too and snapped us – and also presented us with some awesome badges!!!

Check out the results of his photographical awesomeness!

We’ve also just finished shooting a video… more about this later!

We’ll be doing some more gigs this year – currently booking up some more venues all across the UK. If you’d like to put us on, drop us a line – ultraxine@gmail.com

The ‘Xine xx

It’s winter time…

There’s no need… to be afraid!

It’s rehersal time soon – and after a barnstorming single release party we’re back practicing again for a gig onslaught in 2011!

Mr Rick Steckles has joined us once more on the drum stool, and we’re looking forward to punking out some tunes in the near future!

Let there be ROCK!!!
